Do We Really Want to Heal?
Is that a stupid question? I mean, who doesn't want to heal? No one wants to be in pain, be it mental, emotional, physical or spiritual!
It's a no brainer.
Is it enough to have a desire to heal?
See here's the thing - I was reading Medical Medium Anthony William's book "Liver Rescue" and it's speaking to me.
As in gurgling, juicy green smoothy talk.
Yes, I've been juicing celery and it isn't as bad as you think.
Except for the suddenly inflated cost of celery... which is the basis for a whole other discussion! But I digress...
You see, there are many other suggestions in Anthony William's book on how to use food to heal and I believe it. I have always believed it. I believe the food we eat is one of a complicated matrix of factors which determine our health. And that the "tipping point" for disease, illness and well being is different for each of us depending on many factors.
Food wasn't the answer for Noah.
In fact, when my son had cancer (and before) I was meticulous about his diet. Actually, I obsessed about it. Which isn't healthy either. But my point is, although diet alone didn't have the power to save my son, our medical team could not get over how he was able to go through two protocols of chemotherapy (15 months) without the necessity for a feeding tube! They were amazed. I knew it was his fierce determination to eat food that would help his body heal.
He did not lack a fierce desire to live.
But he didn't. He didn't live.
Near the end, we adopted a radical diet which, in my heart I felt had potential, but it was just too late. And even then, I despaired at the thought of having to adopt a radical lifestyle in order to survive. It felt impossible, even though I would have done anything for him.
It wasn't the answer I so desperately wanted.
It wasn't his answer.
Food might be the answer for some.
However, as I read this book and learn about the toxic load our livers bear, it strikes a chord of truth within me. I am awed by the incredible testimonials on social media that bear witness to the power of this protocol in healing that which has previously been deemed impossible to heal. To see what I mean, check out Anthony William Medical Medium on Instagram.
Recently, I was talking to a friend. This friend controls their illness using medication and has a huge love of all food (especially sweet).
We were discussing this book and my friend noted an acquaintance had used diet to control a similar illness without medication.
A thought ran through my head. What if disease could be erased by simply eating certain foods? [Note: I think this is possible. But I want to make it clear that this story is not meant as a judgement for those on medication. There are many ways to heal and thrive.]
We both agreed this would be incredible! Wouldn't it?
Then I asked my friend, "If you could manage your health without any medication by giving up certain foods would you do it?"
The answer was an unequivocal "yes!"
Then I probed closer, "What if it meant giving up many foods you love?"
The light dimmed in my friend's eyes.
"Well, maybe not," my friend said, confused. "It would be so difficult to give up the things I love."
Ah, there's the rub.
Resistance is futile.
Remember Star Trek? The Borg are a fictional alien group that appear as a recurring threat. They are cybernetic organisms linked in a hive mind called the "collective". Their catch phrase is, "Resistance is futile."
There is wisdom in this even though we... well...resist...
It's hard to let go.
See here's the thing. Some are able to re-balance this "tipping point," seemingly against all odds. Some do whatever it takes but still do not appear to heal. At least not in the physical. I do believe there are many possibilities of healing and some, which include dying, are often difficult for us to imagine.
And still more of us are resistant to try something that might help us heal, to balance our "tipping point."
I've used food here for illustrative purposes but it's the same concept for energy work.
Here's what energy work has taught me to ponder: What if healing could accelerate simply by releasing a judgement, by forgiving that one person we have deemed unforgivable or by seeing our circumstances in a different light?
Would you be willing to release it?
It's surprising how often we are unable to do this alone, without help. Yes, me too. But here's the thing - in doing energy work with Reiki+SR and being willing to see my shadows, I have moved through unimaginable blocks. I have released people, ideas, and beliefs that I could never have imagined possible alone.
My guides have shown me that resistance is futile.
And that massive healing may occur when we are supported to release that which seems impossible to give up.
Did you know?
"Because Reiki is a very high vibrational energy, it can flow into, over and through anything, including solid matter. This enables it to work holistically on the whole person - chakras and aura, body and mind-consciousness, emotions and spirit. As Reiki flows into our aura and physical body, it helps break down energetic disruptions or blockages, clearing and balancing the chakras and straightening the energy pathways (meridians) to allow the life force to flow in a healthy and natural way around the whole body."
